How do your kids like to celebrate their birthdays???
What do you do as a family that makes it special???
awwww! happy birthday to Tanner!! such sweet beautiful pics! looks like the day was perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt was...hey, how about them CARDS!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pictures!!My kids love to eat ice cream for breakfast on their birthdays! Healthy, huh? Not really, but a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound fun...and I kinda don't blame them ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Tanner! What a beautiful day you had. And yes, Matt hasselbecks 10 yr old smoked me in a 5k. Ha! He's the Titans QB.
ReplyDeleteWell...she must have his genes!!! and like I said before...I am QUITE SURE you let her win;)
DeleteHappy Birthday, Tanner! What a lovely day, we had one quite similiar! Loved your photos!!
ReplyDelete;)
DeleteGreat pictures! Very cool that a bird lands on your sons hand.
ReplyDeleteyeah, thanks!!! Notice i didn't get one though...
DeleteThat is so amazing that the bird will land on your son's hand. He has a special connection with them I guess :).
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son!! And those are some awesome pictures!!
I love that picture of the three boys together, yelling and having a blast! Looks like a great way to celebrate a birthday. So far, we've used L's birthday as an excuse to have our friends over for dinner, especially those with kids her age, but I know that will change as she gets older!
ReplyDeleteOK, my 7 year old boy is AMAZED that yours got to hold a woodpecker. He wants to know HOW he did it! :) We have a few birds around here, but they are not sitting still for long :)
ReplyDeletethis place is amazing...especially in the winter where food is scarce...but, usually only black cap chickadees come to feed off of you...this day however, the woodpeckers came as well!!! there is a special seed...I will ask my husband what is is madeup of that these birds love...just quietness, stillness and a ton of patience ;) As you can see...the quietness was short lived, ha ha! If ya'll are ever in this area I'll take you!
DeleteThat's really special, that bird sitting on your son's hand! Usually they are so skittish.
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile when I read about boys never staying silent for very long. You are so right!
Lovely! Beautiful pictures. And happy birthday Tanner! We just had a birthday on Friday too - post to come - and went bowling. Hadn't been in ages. So fun to watch the kids (and thank goodness for bumpers!) :)
ReplyDeleteWhat did you put on his finger to make the bird come? ;)
ReplyDeleteYou know what they say...itchy???
Deleteyes...bumpers are god's gift to bowling!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Happy birthday Tanner! This year the party of choice seems to be at the Xtreme Trampoline place. It's fun watching the kids' idea of a good time evolve.
ReplyDeleteI bet they lOVE that!!! Hysterical to watch a bunch of kids on a trampoline ;)
DeleteWhat GREAT pictures! What special kids :) Our birthday celebrations are rather mundane...cake, a song, a gift, candles... They do get to pick what sort of party they'd like with their friends ...within reason!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your 7-year old! I had a boy turn 7 on the 6th :)
and happy birthday to him...such a GREAT age ;)
DeleteWhen I was little my Mom called me the Butterfly Whisperer-it was so weird but butterflies would FLOCK to me!
ReplyDeleteNow that is sooooo cool!
DeleteOh so neat about the bird and your son. And so true about boys not staying silent for long! Today we are celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday at this pizza place for kids where they are just running around being crazy. A party for her on Saturday after my 10k. Only so many years to make memories.
ReplyDeleteso true...and it goes so fast!!! enjoy it while we can right?
DeleteBeautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe celebrate my boys' birthdays with dinner out and beer ~ ha ha ~ they're late 20s and early 30s.

My Running Shortz
Oh my...I can't wait ;)
DeleteHappy birthday Tanner! I am happy that your children love the animals. I grow mine teaching the love for the nature and the animals. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! i sure do hope you are feeling better!!
DeleteHa ha! I'm laughing at your "tall and skinny" comment on my blog. I feel tall when I'm in heels cause then I'm 5 10 and I like being taller than some guys! OMG! I admitted that in public -- tee hee. But my new daughter-in-law is 6 feet tall (she's a shrimp next to my 6'4" son). Not THAT's tall and skinny.
ReplyDeleteTake care :)

My Running Shortz
PS My other daughter-in-law is about 5'3" ... short is good too :))
Yeah...5'3 is a bit more like me, well almost!! your son is exactly one foot taller than my husband, LOL... I call us short and dumpy ;)
DeleteWhat a beautiful post! My son has hawk eyes. I love it when he bikes with me while I run because he spots 10 times the animals I ever do alone. Although, he always spots more coyotes than I am comfortable with - ignorance is probably bliss in this case!
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine just randomly seeing a coyote...seriously???
